Jane Muir

Has drawn and painted all her life, specialising in Mosaic for 30 years.

Educated at St. Annes College, Oxford University she studied painting and sculpture at Middlesborough College of Art, the Architectural Decoration , specialising in Mosaics under Joan Haswell.

1978 study visit to Orsoni workshops, Venice, Italy.
1979 study tour Northern Italian Mosaic schools.
1986 Painting Master classes with Arthur Giardelli under Welsh Arts Council scheme.


1950 Travel bursary to Italy to study Renaissance Art.
1968 Award winner, Belfast Open Mural Competition.


The Chartered Society of Designers and Fellow Society of Designer-Craftsmen Art Workers Guild.
